Hello and welcome back to the kitchen. Just realized I didn't do an update last March, although I sent a note around to everyone. Guess there really wasn't much to report last time! Not so this time - we have a few noteworthy things to tell you about.

Failte's 10th anniversary (wow) is coming up next month - and we will be there to celebrate it along with you all. October 16th, 17th, and 18th, hope to see you there!

Bassist Michael MacDonald will once again be joining the alumni section of the band. Mike retired from active duty back in 1999 but then rejoined for the "reunion tour" when we started playing again in 2003 after my (Kevin's) two year hiatus down here in Phoenix. Once I finally was cleared to travel back and forth between Canada and the States, Mike pulled out the 4-string and dusted it off to join us once again on stage at Failte and we've had a lot of fun in the meantime. James, Travis and myself would like to thank Mike for all that he's put into the band over this time and hope he will join us onstage once in a while to sing "The Wild Rover". Michael will be performing one last show with us on Friday the 17th so make sure you come by and have a beer with the man and wish him well!

Joining the ranks of the KP will be Chris Udell. Chris has played with James in bands over the last few years and brings along with him his trusty stand up bass (or as Chris would point out the "Double" or "upright" bass to be proper) along with a beautiful hairstyle that truly rivals mine. No longer will I be the only human solar reflector on stage! :) Chris will be playing Thursday the 16th and Saturday the 18th - stop by and welcome him into the fray.

Was just reading over the last update from a year ago and this stood out to me: "we are currently working on getting both CD's up for sale on the website for those that can't make it out to the shows - should have that up and running in a couple of months at the latest." Well, obviously I was a bit over eager with that statement but I have been actively working on getting that setup for the last while and online purchasing of the CD's isn't that far away - no seriously! I mean it this time! I've also been looking at the website and realizing it may be time for an upgrade...

That's it for now - hope to see you all in October!
